Recently, an expert group of the Editorial Committee for the 15th Five-Year Plan Textbooks (Phase IV) of National Higher Vocational Education in the Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry, together with faculty representatives, paid an inspection visit to Zhuzhou Fuyang Medical Device Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Fuyang Company).As the core decision-making and guiding body for the compilation of TCM higher vocational education textbooks, the expert group aimed to conduct an in-depth investigation into the standardization construction, clinical application effects and teaching adaptability of Fuyang Jar Therapy. The visit intended to collect first-hand information for the scientific inclusion of this characteristic external TCM therapy into the national planned textbook system.
The expert group built a communication bridge between the TCM education system and the industry through on-site enterprise visits and research on featured techniques. Mature technologies validated by market and clinical practice, such as Fuyang Jar Therapy, will be incorporated into teaching materials. During the inspection, accompanied by Hu Muming, Chairman of Fuyang Company, the expert group visited the corporate exhibition hall and standardized operation demonstration area successively, gaining a systematic understanding of the development history and technical iteration of Fuyang Jar Therapy.The company’s representative inheritor of intangible cultural heritage gave an on-site demonstration of the standardized operation process integrating warm scraping, warm moxibustion and red light technology, based on the core theory of taking the jar as the tool, warmth as the dredging method, and dredging as the way of health preservation. Focusing on key textbook compilation concerns including equipment design principles, scope of indications and safety control, the expert group held in-depth discussions with the enterprise technical team, verifying every technical detail to ensure all content meets the rigorous standards of teaching materials.
At the subsequent symposium, Hu Muming reported the achievements of Fuyang Jar Therapy in standardized technical research, clinical data accumulation and the construction of school-enterprise cooperation talent training bases. The expert group highly recognized Fuyang Company’s practice in promoting the transformation of folk therapies toward standardization and disciplinary development.Expert representatives stated that the vitality of higher vocational TCM textbooks lies in practicality and cutting-edge nature. Incorporating therapies like Fuyang Jar Therapy — which feature solid theoretical support and a mature operating system — into textbooks embodies the panel’s philosophy of formulating textbook content based on industrial demands.
